Because I shared this blog on my Instagram account last day, there is more than a hundred access to my blog today until now. Thank you for watching, all of the guys. Whether you just begin my blog or have checked it before, I'm welcoming all of you! By the way, I'm gonna share freebies you can get on the campus. First, you can take busses for free if you are a student or faculty. There are more than 20 bus stops on campus and a lot of buses go around the campus or go outside of the campus. They can take you almost everywhere you wanna go in and near the campus. Next, you can get many kinds of items without charge in the events. I've already got two T-shirts, two water bottles, a towel, snacks, a thermometer, and alcohol wipes. They are all complimentary. In addition, you can get a security service, which is called "Safe Walk". You can install the Safe Walk App on your smartphones and call a security person if you want anywhere on campus. For example, when you stay at a library to study hard until 12:00 p.m. and you have to go back to your dorm on foot by yourself you may feel fear from walking outside alone. Then you can request a security person through the App and he/she will come to you immediately and take you to your home safety. I'm saying that again. It costs nothing. By far, I introduced three services without payments. There might be other free services as well. If I find it, I'll share it with you.
事ある毎に無料で色々もらえて嬉しいのですが、この話には裏があります。僕の通っているイリノイ大学は公立大学なのですが、学費が年間で4〜50,000ドルくらいします（！）日本だと私立大学でもこんなにお金かかるところは珍しいでしょう。じゃあ大学に通っているのは、みんな高所得者なのかと言えば、決してそんなことはありません。公立大学なのでアメリカの市民権を持っている人は学費の一部免除を認められるだろうし、イリノイ州に住んでいる人はもっと免除を受けることができると思われます。つまりこの400-500ドルという多額の学費を真面目に払っているのは誰かというと、他でもない留学生です。だからアメリカの大学は学費を目的に留学生を歓迎しているのです（全くもって僕の個人的意見です）。 昨年、トランプ政権の時にアメリカの大学に学びに来ている学生を、アメリカ政府は必死になって母国に追い返していましたが、バイデン政権になってから一転して留学生を引き戻す方針に転換しました。大学が金銭を工面するのに苦慮しないようにという政策的配慮があってのことです。まあ、そういう事情もあり、僕はおかげさまなことに今留学できています。ありがたい。ちなみに僕も留学生ですが、日本で通っている大学がイリノイ大と提携しており、日本の国立大学の学費を払うだけでイリノイ大の学費が完全免除になる仕組みになっています。なので8分の1くらいに学費が安くなっています。この制度がなければ金銭的に留学には行けませんでした。すべての関係者に心から感謝します。ありがとうございます。
